About Us
LTS Systems “formerly known as Locktronic Systems” began manufacturing sirens in the late 70’s. The original founder of the company designed, patented and built the first siren system which was unique and distinctive with a true emergency sound, which became recognized all over Australia. The first model produced was the LTS500PR a single box unit with Wail, Yelp and Mix with PA and Radio Re-Broadcast functions.
The LTS sound became the standard Australian siren sound, and was installed into almost all types of emergency response vehicles such as Police, Fire, and Ambulance etc.
The company later introduced the LTS1000PR series with 100Watts power output, with the same features as the 500 series but with a small remote control unit, which required less space near the vehicle console area and the main amplifier unit could be mounted under the front seat, this siren became so popular that the company continued to supply this siren to most emergency departments across Australia.
Over the years we have introduced several other different siren models. LTS Sirens are rugged and reliable and are designed and built in Australia for Australian conditions. LTS Sirens have proven reliability record over 30 years of field service.
LTS sirens have built a reputation for producing real emergency sirens for real emergency applications. At LTS we don’t muck around with gimmicks such as fancy sounds and whistles we only do true emergency sirens.
When you are called to an emergency you don’t want to be mucking around with fancy sounds and switches you just want a reliable siren that is easy to operate with minimum amount of controls and switches, because every second counts.
In 2001 LTS Systems (formerly known as Locktronic systems) went through a change of ownership and became LTS Systems and is now part of the Fire Trader Australia Group of companies. We continue to operate under this name since the change of ownership, it is business as usual at LTS SYSTEMS.
In 2008 LTS Systems was bought by Fire Trader Australia, an already established company dealing with every Emergencey Service organisation in Australia, it was a perfect fit for the LTS product range and Fire Trader Australia's Emergency Vehicle offerings.
We have already started on developing a new range of units, and adding enhancements to the current product range to update and increase the functionality of our products.
We are now in our update stage and hope to soon bring to market updated and new siren products to be announced in July 2009.
